Interstate is an old American brand with a lot of expertise on what a good tire should look like. As they themselves claim, they’ve imbued the European-grade technology with the Asian resources. It explains why these are so inexpensive – they are manufactured in China, but developed in America by the latest standard.
While they do benefit very much from this state of things, Interstate tires have several small flaws that tend to show themselves once in a while. Still, the tires are very cost-effective by all parameters.
They like to do their tires very rigid, which means a lot of them are going to be naturally durable. But they also produce soft rubbers, and they aren’t very short-lived either. It means they’ve invested some very good technology into these.
The grip is great, there’s almost no complaint about their traction and handling. They do have a bit of a balancing problem, which means you’ll have to spend some time rebalancing them or waddle awkwardly once in a while.
Interstates also tend to be pretty loud at time, but it might not be the tire solely. Still, if you value quiet, you won’t likely be impressed with these.
In the end, they are still pretty good, even if you get small flaws here and there.
