Momo is an Italian brand that exists since 1964, thus being one of the older European tire brands. Pair this with the generally Italian car expertise and you’ll be easily hyped up for something very well-done. And they won’t disappoint you by much, but they also won’t surprise you.
Momo create all sorts of tires, but they all have something in common. Firstly, the traction isn’t the best. Mainly, they perform rather well on dry ground, but struggle on anything else. They don’t give up on wet, snow and slush, but they tend to slide a bit and lose some of the handling.
It doesn’t seem that these tires were made for something other than the typical Italian weather, where it doesn’t really rain or snow much. On dry land, they are simply awesome.
And their misgivings are perfectly clear considering they are very cheap. The average price really puts them in a ‘cheap’ category, so these aren’t going to be top quality.
But even then, they are very valuable precisely because of this cheapness. Momo products are surprisingly enduring. 50k miles is nothing for these, and you’ll reach 70k even if you aren’t driving safely and responsibly. They aren’t too soft, either – these tires are protected very well.
So, a reasonable choice, all things considered. It would be very prudent to buy these to drive in dry countries. Otherwise, they aren’t as good.
