Headquarters: Shandong, China
Milestone is a Chinese brand of tires. It’s not really known outside of this country, although they did open a new enterprise in China not long ago. Combine the general obscurity of this brand to the larger world and the fact that they are an obscure Chinese brand, people are not very reassured.
Milestone doesn’t sell a lot of tires outside of their home country, so their selection is pretty limited. It mostly includes several summer tires, which aren’t very good objectively. The only real upside they got is the price, which is predictably low.
The grip suffers a lot even on dry surface. The wet ground makes them lose traction completely, which isn’t something you want to discover at a high speed. You can get lucky if the road is paved well, but in most situations the braking distance will be humongous.
The durability is another problem. They will probably live a suitable time if you drive extra carefully, but if you don’t bother, the tread will disappear completely in just a couple of seasons.
Unlike many surprisingly good Chinese tires, these aren’t very cost-effective. You get what you pay for – a cheap driving experience. You can buy these if you need something for the next small journey, but it’s very possible to find better tires for this money.
